What is the difference between Blooms + Planter and Blooms Insert?

Blooms + Planter includes a lightweight planter planted with seasonal blooms. You will be able to select your preferred planter color, size and bloom collection. If you choose a Four Season Subscription, a new planter with fresh seasonal blooms will be delivered each season. Please leave the old planter on your front porch and we will compost plant material and recycle the planter for you!

Blooms Insert includes a biodegradable drop in insert planted with seasonal blooms. You will be able to select your preferred insert size and bloom collection. The biodegradable insert is intended to be placed inside your own planter. A planter is not included. You will need to follow our Measuring Guide to ensure one of our insert sizes will fit in your planter properly. We do not offer refunds if your Blooms Insert does not fit your planter. If you choose a Four Season Subscription, a new Blooms Insert will be delivered each season to your front door. Please leave the old insert on your front porch and we will compost the insert for you! All fiber inserts and plant material are compostable.

What if I already have my own planter?

We offer a drop in collection called Blooms Insert. Our biodegradable fiber inserts fit directly into your planters. Please view our Measuring Guide to ensure we offer a size that fits your needs. Planters Direct KC will deliver the inserts to your front door. We do not install them in your planters. It is your responsibility to choose the correct insert size for you. There are no returns for inserts that do not properly fit.

When can I expect my delivery?

You will receive an email when your order is out for delivery. All planters/inserts will be placed at the front door or driveway area only, no exceptions. The expected delivery date is shown during checkout, however, delivery dates can vary depending on seasonal weather.

What if I need to supply a Gate Code?

All gate code or other important information can be placed in NOTES section when completing your order at checkout.

BILLING & SUBSCRIPTION

How does billing work?

Four Season Subscription: When you select "Subscribe and save" during checkout, you will be billed for the first season when you place your order. After your first delivery, your account will be adjusted to the regular billing cycle as follows:

Subscriptions receive 5% off for each delivery.

One-Time Purchase: You will be charged for the full amount when you place a one-time order.

How do I renew/manage my subscription?

Your Four Season Subscription will automatically renew, so there is no need for you to do anything to keep it going. You can make your seasonal selections via the customer portal on our website. To manage your subscriptions, login to your account and go to “Manage Subscriptions”.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, please email us at info@plantersdirectkc.com. You can cancel at any time but we do not issue refunds once you have been charged for the upcoming season. If you cancel after the billing date, we will deliver the current season as your final delivery.

Can I change my planter color and size for the next season?

Yes, of course! You will be sent an email prior to the start of each season to make your selections accordingly. You will be able to swap and change your selections via the customer portal.

Color Change: No charge

Size Change: Price will be adjusted according to the new planter or insert size you choose.

What if I miss the deadline to choose my upcoming seasonal selections?

For subscriptions, your credit card is automatically charged at a certain time each season. If you miss selecting a style for the current season, one will be automatically chosen for you. But don't worry, each collection is beautiful!

Do you offer discounts?

Yes! All of our subscriptions receive 5% off the original price for each season. Delivery fee is not discounted.

PLANTS

What is my sunlight requirement?

Selecting your correct sunlight requirement is very important to ensure your blooms thrive all season long. Our Summer season is the only season that has sunlight requirements that you need to select according to where you place your planters. Spring, Fall and Winter seasons do not have sunlight requirements.

Full Sun: More than 6 hours of direct sun per day.

Part Sun: 4 to 6 hours of direct sun per day (morning sun only).

Full Shade: Less than 4 hours of direct sun per day (no afternoon sun).

How do I care for my planter?

We provide detailed care instructions each season for your new planter. In general, you need to make sure the soil is always moist by checking regularly. Care instructions will include when and how to protect your planters if temperatures dip below freezing. Planters Direct KC uses live plants and it is up to the customer to frequently care for the plants properly to ensure season long color. If you need assistance beyond our care instructions, please reach out to info@plantersdirectkc.com.

Do you offer a refund or warranty?

We provide high quality plants and detailed care instructions specific for each season. It is your responsibility to water and care for the plants according to our instructions. If you notice a specific plant is not thriving, please let us know within 24 hours of delivery. After 24 hours, the customer is fully responsible for the planters care and no refunds can be given. Blooms Inserts are nonrefundable if they do not fit your planter.

Can I make special flower requests?

Planters Direct KC is subscription based, offering pre-determined plant collections. You are able to choose your size and color of the planter as well as bloom style offered in our seasonal collections. If you are looking for a unique custom look, we recommend reaching out to Growing Blooms KC.
